Project Finance Officer, WWF-Laos

Description: WWF-Laos is looking for a Project Finance Officer. Location: Salavan District, Salavan Province, with required travel to other places. Major function: support all financial requirements of the assigned provincial projects, ensuring transparency, accuracy and compliance with WWF-Laos and WWF network financial systems, policies and procedures, and with local legal requirements. Main duties: - Accurate data entry in Oracle and GMS, including project coding and financial uploads. - Help develop, monitor and update project finance and accounting work plans. - Give technical guidance and coaching on finance to project staff, partners and government counterparts. - Support the management of third-party contracts and keep the line manager informed of closing dates. - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. - Follow up staff timesheets and project monitoring sheets; record daily transactions and prepare calls for funds. - Prepare bank transfers and process payments in line with WWF-Laos policies. - Support annual budget preparation, including project staff cost allocation. - Create task codes in the Grant Management System (GMS); support due diligence and internal control spot checks; monitor outstanding advances. - File original finance documents at the field office and upload them to SharePoint. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting, business management, business administration or a related field. 3 years of experience in finance and accounting administration, particularly budgeting, with international NGOs is desirable. Oracle proficiency is preferred. Skills: understanding of local finance and accounting systems, laws and regulations; basic knowledge of international finance and accounting standards; advanced Excel; good understanding of finance and accounting practices in INGOs in Laos; good written and spoken English.
