Senior Finance Officer – WWF Laos (Fixed Term)

Description: WWF-Laos is recruiting a Senior Finance Officer (IPE 48, fixed term) based in Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR. The Senior Finance Officer supports the Head of Finance and Accounting in leading financial operations, reporting, compliance and capacity building, and supervises the finance staff. Main duties: - Financial reporting and consolidation: lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing; prepare the Consolidation Pack for WWF International; ensure balance sheet reconciliations are done on time. - Banking and payments: manage banking payment processes under the WWF Financial Manual; review and approve I-Banking transactions (1st level AP approval in Oracle); supervise the Finance Officers (Operational). - Systems and policy orientation: update training materials and brief staff on finance systems, policies and procedures. - Payroll and cost recovery: record payroll and staff costs in Oracle; manage office running cost recovery. - Audit and compliance: prepare reports for government, internal and statutory audits; act as tax focal point; review PIT and WHT tax reports. - Supervision and capacity building of operational finance staff. - Other: review bank reconciliations, clear advance accounts, check timesheets. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration or a related field. - 5 years of experience as Accountant, Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper. - Good spoken and written English. - Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations preferred; advanced Excel. - Knowledge of local finance and accounting standards and of non-profit practices.
