Communications and Campaign Coordinator – Save the Children International (Vientiane Capital)

Description: Save the Children International (SCI) is looking for a Communications and Campaign Coordinator based in Vientiane Capital. SCI, together with the World Mosquito Program (WMP) and the Department of Communicable Disease Control of the Ministry of Health, implements the Driving down Dengue in Laos (DDDiL) project, which aims to reduce dengue transmission in Laos through releases of Wolbachia-carrying mosquitoes in Vientiane Capital, Oudomxay, Luang Prabang, Savannakhet and Champasack. The Coordinator delivers a mass communications campaign to gain public acceptance for the mosquito releases, managing an internal team and external contractors. Key responsibilities: - Develop and manage a multi-channel communications and community engagement strategy suited to the local context. - Shape public perception and mobilise communities through communication and advocacy campaigns. - Create content with the communications team: press releases, success stories, case studies, social media posts. - Ensure engagement activities respect gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), and the Do No Harm and child safeguarding principles. - Build relationships with local leaders, government, civil society and non-profit organisations. - Recruit, manage and oversee the internal team and external contractors. - Provide market research, and set up and manage a Community Advisory Group and the Feedback and Report Mechanism. - Monitor and report on campaign performance and public acceptance. Qualifications and experience: - Undergraduate qualification in communications, or extensive experience in communications (postgraduate desirable). - At least 3–5 years of experience in communications, campaign management and strategic planning. - Experience working with government agencies and community engagement. - Experience in non-profit, public health communication or science outreach. - Excellent written and spoken English; strong computer skills (Microsoft, Adobe, Canva, Google Suite). Contract: fixed term, 1 year with the possibility of extension. Full-time.
