International Consultant, National MIYCN Guidelines – UNICEF, Vientiane (4 months)

Description: UNICEF Lao PDR is looking for an international consultant to support the Ministry of Health in developing the National Maternal Nutrition Guidelines and revising the Infant and Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) Guidelines. Contract duration: 4 months. Working arrangement: home-based, remotely with travel. Open to international candidates only. Main tasks: 1. Desk review and situation analysis, including a gap analysis. 2. Drafting the Maternal Nutrition Guidelines and revising the IYCN Guidelines with the Ministry of Health task force (preconception, pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, breastfeeding, complementary feeding, micronutrient supplementation and deworming, growth monitoring, behaviour change communication, nutrition in emergencies, equity and inclusion). 3. Validation and finalization of the guidelines through technical consultations with the Ministry of Health, UNICEF, WHO and partners. The consultant works under the supervision of the UNICEF Lao PDR Nutrition Specialist. Application deadline: 11 November 2026.
