National Consultant – Capacity Building on Nutrition Interventions (UNICEF, Vientiane, 6 months)

Description: UNICEF Lao PDR is recruiting a National Consultant to support capacity building on nutrition-specific interventions. Contract duration: 6 months. Working arrangement: office based with travel. Location: Vientiane. The consultant will work closely with Ministry of Health departments to strengthen institutional capacity, facilitate stakeholder coordination, and support implementation and monitoring of key nutrition interventions, including MIYCN, enforcement of nutrition-related regulations, Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS), IMAM and salt iodization. Minimum requirements: - Bachelor's degree in medicine, nutrition, public health or a related field. - At least 10 years of experience working with the government health system, with good understanding of nutrition-specific interventions in the Lao context. - Practical experience in nutrition-specific preventive programmes, particularly IYCF and micronutrient supplementation. - Excellent oral and written Lao; working knowledge of English.
